D’Ya Know Who I Am?
John Davies
Trip on the scarf I’ve worn for so long.
Seven years down and feeling strong
The end of my time never dawned a light for me.
I’ve fought them all and fought them fine,
Found the solutions with my mind
Don’t cross me ‘cos you know what that will mean.
Sarah was the first to take the flight.
Harry was there for a little while,
Then a savage from the Sevateem.
The quest for a key, K9 with me,
Romana times two, a precocious child,
Nyssa and Tegan took the toll to three.
But I’ve met the Watcher, I can’t hide.
My bolder boasts now meek and mild,
The Cloister tolls my end is due,I said, “Listen up man, is there nothing I can do?”
All my futures right here, right then,
D’Ya know who I am?
All my travels over, began,
D’Ya know who I am?
All my triumphs carefully planned,
D’Ya know who I am?
I am the one who fought for so long,
Dressed them all down with my razor’d tongue
Nothing in this life could hold a match to me
But now it seems I’ve lost the fight,
Time to return to the normal life,
That’s what you get when you cross the BBC.
I’ve met the Watcher, he told me why,
My ego trips called for Goodbye,
A fresher face now heads the queue
I said, “Listen up man, don’t you know I’m Doctor Who!”
All my futures right here, right then,
D’Ya know who I am?
All my travels over, began,
D’Ya know who I am?
All my triumphs carefully planned,
D’Ya know who I am?
All my futures right here, right then,
D’Ya know who I am?
All my travels over, began,
D’Ya know who I am?
All my triumphs carefully planned,
D’Ya know who I am?
Yeah - yeah ...
